Joint workshop of the GMDS working groups MoCoMed and MBSV at the annual conference 2024 in Dresden
At this year's annual conference of the German Society for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology (GMDS) e.V. in Dresden, a joint workshop was held by the GMDS working groups Mobile Information Technology in Medicine and Telemedicine (MoCoMed, headed by Dr. Sebastian Fudickar, Dr. Andreas Koop) and Medical Image and Signal Processing (MBSV, headed by Prof. Dr. Dagmar Krefting, Dr. Dr. Behrus Puladi). Andreas Koop) and Medical Image and Signal Processing (MBSV, headed by Prof. Dr. Dagmar Krefting, Dr. Dr. Behrus Puladi) and the IEEE Germany Chapter of Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (IEEE EMBS, headed by Dr. Nicolai Spicher) with the title “Mobile Biosignal and Image Processing in Medicine - Outlook into the Future”. In the run-up to the annual conference, ten online presentations were held in which both scientists (including RWTH Aachen, University of Münster, University of Würzburg) and industry representatives (including Data4Life.care) had their say.
The workshop in Dresden was introduced by keynote speeches from Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Pryss (University of Würzburg) and Prof. Dr. Dagmar Krefting, Director of the Institute of Medical Informatics at the University Medical Center Göttingen. In the subsequent discussion with the participants of the event, topics such as sustainable software development, challenges in the participatory development process and increasing user motivation were discussed.
