Kick-off event for the Digital Progress Hubs Health on January 14, 2026, in Berlin
Prof. Dr. Dagmar Krefting, consortium leader of CAEHR, will present the project at the comprehensive kickoff event on January 14 in Berlin. This kickoff event marks the start of the second funding phase of the Digital Progress Hubs for Health (DigiHubs) as part of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII). Over the next few years (2025-2029), the seven hubs will work more closely together as part of the DigiHub initiative. Prof. Dr. Krefting has been confirmed as spokesperson for the DigiHubs. In addition to Prof. Dr. Dagmar Krefting as consortium leader, CAEHR will also be represented by Prof. Dr. Peter Heuschmann (University Hospital Würzburg, co-consortium leader), Benjamin Löhnhardt (UMG, project coordination), Lisa Weichselbaum (University Hospital Würzburg, Institute of General Medicine), and Sascha Johnke (Fallingbostel Rehabilitation Clinic) also participated.
The kickoff meeting was followed by a discussion with representatives of outpatient care providers. Prof. Krefting, spokesperson for the DigiHub initiative, presented the Digital Progress Hubs for Health and discussed the topic with representatives from the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV), the German Foundation for General Practice and Family Medicine (DESAM), and the German Association of Medical Specialists (SpiFa).
