Applied Computer Science

The Department of Medical Informatics co-founded study program Applied Computer Science. Since the winter term of 2000/2001, we have been training medical computer scientists in our bachelor and master curriculum. Applied Computer Science is our core curriculum on which the participation in more recently developed study programs is based.

Applied Data Science

The Department of Medical Informatics co-founded study program Applied Data Science and teaches in the bachelor and master program.

Medical Technology

University Medical Center Goettingen and the University of Applied Sciences HAWK co-founded the Health Campus Goettingen (GCG). GCG hosts a number of study programs in health sciences and boosts academic training for health care professionals in Germany. The Department of Medical Informatics contributes to GCG study programs with modules, which were specifically designed for the application-oriented education of each professional group.

Human Medicine

In accordance with the Medical Licensing Regulations and the National Competence-Based Learning Objectives Catalogue for Medicine (NKLM), we train future physician in various modules of the clinical education in human medicine at the Medical Faculty. Core topics are computerized physician order entry, professional information research, medical documentation and electronic health records as well as billing systems (DRG).
