Promotion
Die Promotion wäre der nächste große Schritt zu einer akademischen Karriere nach dem erfolgreichen Abschluss eines Masterstudiums. Die Universität Göttingen bietet eine Vielzahl von Promotionsprogrammen an. Für die informatische Ausbildung sind zum Beispiel die Programme der "Georg-August-University School of Science" (GAUSS) geeignet; hierin besonders das PhD Programm für Informatik („PhD Programme in Computer Science“, kurz „PCS“). Am Institut für Medizinische Informatik haben bereits eine Reihe von Mitarbeiter*innen erfolgreich das GAUSS PCS durchlaufen.
