DMEA 2025

Prof. Dr. Dagmar Krefting (Director of the Department of Medical Informatics, University Medical Center Göttingen) and Prof. Dr. Dr. Björn Heismann (VP for Strategy Development at Siemens Healthineers) were invited to the expert panel "What does the AI Act mean for medical devices? Opportunities and challenges" at DMEA 2025.

The panel, moderated by Dr. Matthieu-P. Schapranow (Group Leader, Lecturer, and Scientific Manager Digital Health), will shed light on key questions: What does the AI Act mean for developers, users and test centers in medical technology? What are the open questions regarding implementation? How can the implementation be designed in such a way that the innovative potential of the AI Act is leveraged and an obstacle to innovation such as the MDR is avoided?
