Night of Biosignals
On November 15, 2024, the Night of Biosignals took place in numerous university cities across Germany. This event was organized by the Technical Committee for Biosignals, which is part of the German Society for Biomedical Engineering in the VDS (DGBMT), the largest scientific and technical society for medical technology in Germany.
Among the participating cities were Aachen, Augsburg. Bremen, Dresden, Göttingen, Ilmenau, Jena, Karlsruhe, Kiel, Cologne, Krefeld and Münster were represented.
The participation of the Göttingen site was organized by the junior research group Biosignal Processing at the Institute of Medical Informatics.
The on-site program was supplemented by live broadcasts from other locations.
At the Göttingen site, the team from the Biosignal Processing junior research group gave presentations on the following topics:

- ChatGPT as a cardiologist - Speaker: Sebastian Schmale
- Can we predict disease progression with smartwatches? - Speaker: Tabea Steinbrinker
- How music algorithms can help detect diseased hearts - Speaker: Philip Hempel
