NFDI4Health annual meeting 2024 in Potsdam

Under the motto “Advancing high-quality health data together”, the NFDI4Health stakeholders came together for the annual consortium meeting in Potsdam on October 7 and 8, 2024.
They reflected on the past year and set the course for future projects and the role of NFDI4Health in Europe. The annual meeting focused on the integration of NFDI4Health into related health data infrastructures and the strategic planning of the transition to the second project phase in fall 2025.

The focus was on the future role of NFDI4Health in the European Health Data Space (EHDS). As a central platform, NFDI4Health aims to integrate German health data into the European context in accordance with the FAIR principles in order to facilitate data access and advance research. The importance of further developing existing infrastructures, strengthening international cooperation and integrating NFDI4Health structures into the EHDS was emphasized by the participants.

Prof. Dr. Ulrich Sax (Head of the scientific working group Translational Collaborative Research at the Institute of Medical Informatics) heads Task Area 6 “Privacy & Data Access in Concert” in the NFDI network together with Prof. Dr. Benedikt Buchner (University of Augsburg) and Prof. Dr. Dennis-Kenji Kipker (University of Augsburg).
