Philip Zaschke is awarded the GMDS sponsorship prize for the best Master's thesis 2024
At the 69th annual conference of the Society for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology (GMDS), Philip Zaschke (Clinical Collaborative Research Group at the Institute of Medical Informatics) was honored with the GMDS Sponsorship Award 2024 for the best master's thesis in the Medical Informatics category.
Zaschke had previously presented his work to around 500 experts. He also gave an in-depth presentation on his topic in the “Data Processing” session at the GMDS annual conference.
As part of the work entitled “Extending a medical imaging platform by high performance computing for reproducible machine learning workflows”, he designed a data processing pipeline that forms a bridge between the existing XNAT data processing system and the GWDG's High Performance Computing Cluster. He also developed an AI model for predicting the neurological outcome of comatose patients after cardiac arrest using EEG data.
