SOMNOLINK network meeting on July 10 and 11, 2025 in Göttingen

On July 10 and 11, the nationwide network partners in the Somnolink project came together in the conference rooms of the Alte Mensa in Göttingen.

The Somnolink project of the Medical Informatics Initiative is entering the next phase: in a prospective study with 1,500 patients from all over Germany, a digital infrastructure and a series of AI models to support sleep medicine in practice are being tested and validated.

The Somnolink platform will enable the cross-location exchange and analysis of sleep data via a central infrastructure. Three AI models are also integrated into this:

  • Early detection of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)
  • Prediction of personalized therapy approaches
  • Prognosis of possible therapy discontinuations

The current joint meeting focused on discussing current challenges. In particular, workshops were held on key topics such as prospective and retrospective studies, the Somnolink platform and the implementation of AI algorithms. The aim was to classify the concrete next steps for the year 2025.

The Lunch to Lunch Meeting was organized by Prof. Dr. Dagmar Krefting (Somnolink project coordinator) and members of her department.

Further information on the Somnolink project can be found on the project website of the Medical Informatics Initiative.
