Introduction of a new employee - Dr. Katja Saldeitis

Dr. Katja Saldeitis has been working as a data manager in the Translational Collaborative Research Group since 01.04.2025. Her main task will be the conception and implementation of new modules of a research data platform within the CRC 1690 “Disease Mechanisms and Functional Recovery of Sensory and Motor Systems”.
After studying neurobiology at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Katja Saldeitis completed her doctorate at the Leibniz Institute of Neurobiology in the field of functional neuroanatomy. She then worked in Göttingen (UMG/DPZ) on the preclinical ERC project “OptoHear”, where she carried out data science projects and was responsible for the further development of quality assurance tools. Most recently, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry, where her focus was on target group-oriented communication of medical information.
“With my experience in biomedical research and interdisciplinary collaboration as well as my high affinity for data, I hope to be able to further advance the FAIR management and use of research data."
