SOMNOLINK Consortium Meeting 2026

The first consortium meeting of the Somnolink research project in 2026 took place on April 17th in a virtual format. The focus was on the exchange of information about current developments and progress, with the overarching goal of sustainably improving the diagnosis and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
The participants exchanged information on the latest project results and discussed key milestones. Of particular note is Somnolink's award of the German Sleep Prize 2026 – a significant recognition of the work done so far and the innovative approach of the collaborative project.
Other key topics included:
- Progress in cybersecurity for the cross-sectoral OSA data exchange platform
- Ethics approval granted for the prospective study
- Advances in AI methods for early detection, phenotyping, and treatment adherence
- Implementation of the digitization of treatment statistics
The next Somnolink consortium meeting is planned for summer 2026 and will take place in person. The organization will be handled by a project partner on a rotating basis.
Somnolink is a collaborative project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). Special thanks go to all participants for their commitment and constructive exchange.
